Did you see that flying motorcycle in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1?” Well, if you didn’t wait in line at midnight to see the film, but plan to catch it over the weekend, keep an eye out for the bike — a light-blue Royal Enfield with a sidecar.

Another Awesome Jet Bike From Bob Maddox | Autopia | Wired.com

Autopia’s official daredevil Bob Maddox is at it again, with a new jet bike so hot we almost singed our eyebrows looking at the pictures.

The self-proclaimed “Rocketman” built the latest bike for a bike racer in Illinois who got sponsorship from a local bike-themed restaurant. According to Maddox, who did five test runs on the bike before handing it over to its new owner, it does 0-60 in “maybe five seconds.” Handling is “smooth and stable,” although it’s so powerful that it “wants to pull your arms off.”

Pedrosa to Get Shoulder Scans, Could Need Surgery

motogp_pedrosa2Dani Pedrosa had to fight through the last rounds of the 2010 MotoGP season with an injured shoulder so that he could maintain his second place position in the overall standings. Pedrosa broke his collarbone on October 1st at Motegi, and after a brief rehabilitation returned to the MotoGP circuit.

Now that the 2010 MotoGP season is over, Pedrosa will have his injury checked again, and could possibly undergo another surgery.

"[On Thursday] I will go to the doctor again to have a CAT scan, an MRI scan and vascular tests to find out what's wrong with my shoulder," Pedrosa said. "I don't know yet if I will need more surgery, but if it's necessary I will do it.”
